📋 Description

• Identify, assess, and build relationships with dependable suppliers and vendors.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure optimal deals.

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies for lumber and building materials.

• Analyze market trends and modify procurement plans accordingly.

• Place orders and oversee inventory levels.

• Ensure timely product delivery.

• Manage and resolve issues related to order fulfillment and quality.

• Monitor and analyze purchasing costs.

• Create strategies aimed at reducing expenses and enhancing cost-efficiency while maintaining product quality.

• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

• Assist in demand forecasting and adjust procurement schedules as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier details.

• Prepare and present reports concerning procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.

• Ensure that purchasing activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations.

• Stay informed about industry standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Located in the Mid-West or West Coast regions.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Specialist in the lumber industry.

• Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.

• Proficient in procurement software and tools.

• Outstanding organizational and time management capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Occasional travel to branch locations is necessary.
