This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Develop, oversee, and implement Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for designated category expenditures.
• Analyze expenditure data to uncover cost-reduction opportunities, market trends, and sourcing strategies.
• Ensure RFPs encompass thorough requirements, evaluation criteria, and timelines.
• Research and pinpoint qualified vendors based on their capabilities, geographical coverage, and operational needs.
• Lead vendor assessment processes, which include capability evaluations, site visits, reference verifications, and scorecard analyses.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors in accordance with company policies and contractual obligations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements to secure optimal cost structures.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to ensure contracts adhere to regulatory, compliance, and business standards.
• Maintain a repository of contracts and monitor key renewal dates.
• Partner with Operations, P+O, Finance, and other departments on procurement strategies.
• Provide vendor recommendations for new operational launches.
• Act as a liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders regarding escalations and performance issues.
• Oversee the implementation of new vendor programs, ensuring stakeholder training and operational readiness.
• Establish performance metrics and reporting requirements.
• Ensure a smooth transition to operational and vendor management teams.
• Provide leadership updates on procurement activities, cost savings, and compliance metrics.
• Assess procurement processes and suggest best practices for ongoing improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is essential.
• A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, CPM) are preferred.
• At least five (5) years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally in operations-driven or multi-site organizations.
• Proven success in leading competitive bidding/RFP processes and managing category expenditures.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor identification, evaluation, and contract negotiation, with a history of achieving cost savings or value enhancements.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Operations, P+O (HR), and Finance, to execute procurement strategies.
• Proficiency in procurement technology platforms, reporting tools, and contract management systems.
• Experience in supporting new operational startups through vendor selection based on geographic and operational criteria is preferred.
