📋 Description

• Identify, assess, and forge relationships with dependable suppliers and vendors.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure optimal deals.

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies for lumber and construction materials.

• Analyze market trends and adjust procurement strategies as needed.

• Place orders, track inventory levels, and ensure timely product delivery.

• Manage and resolve issues related to order fulfillment and product quality.

• Monitor and evaluate purchasing costs.

• Create strategies to reduce expenses and enhance cost-efficiency while upholding product quality.

• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

• Assist in demand forecasting and adjust procurement schedules accordingly.

• Maintain precise records of purchases, contracts, and supplier details.

• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.

• Ensure that purchasing activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations.

• Stay informed on industry standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Located in the Mid-West or West Coast regions.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Specialist in the lumber industry.

• Strong skills in negotiation and contract management.

• Excellent understanding of supply chain management principles and industry best practices.

• Proficient in procurement software and tools.

• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
