📋 Description

• Identify, assess, and foster relationships with trustworthy suppliers and vendors.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions effectively.

• Formulate and execute purchasing strategies for lumber and building materials.

• Analyze market trends and modify procurement plans accordingly.

• Place orders and keep track of inventory levels.

• Ensure the timely delivery of products.

• Manage and resolve issues related to order fulfillment and quality.

• Monitor and evaluate purchasing costs.

• Develop strategies for cost reduction and efficiency while upholding product quality.

• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

• Assist in demand forecasting and adjust procurement schedules as necessary.

• Maintain precise records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.

• Prepare and present reports regarding procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.

• Ensure that purchasing activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations.

• Stay informed about industry standards and best practices.

• Travel occasionally to branch locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Reside in the Mid-West or West Coast regions.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related area.

• Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Specialist in the lumber industry.

• Strong skills in negotiation and contract management.

• Excellent understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.

• Proficient in procurement software and tools.

• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
