📋 Description

• Identify, assess, and foster relationships with dependable suppliers and vendors.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to obtain optimal deals.

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies for lumber and building materials.

• Analyze market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.

• Place orders, oversee inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products.

• Manage and resolve issues related to order fulfillment and product quality.

• Monitor and evaluate purchasing costs.

• Formulate strategies to decrease expenses and enhance cost-efficiency while maintaining product quality.

• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels.

• Assist in demand forecasting and adjust procurement schedules as needed.

• Maintain precise records of purchases, contracts, and supplier data.

• Prepare and deliver reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.

• Ensure that purchasing activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations.

• Stay informed on industry standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Based in the Mid-West or West Coast regions.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Specialist in the lumber industry.

• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.

• Excellent knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.

• Proficient in procurement software and tools.

• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Occasional travel to branch locations is required.
