Procurement Manager – Indirect, Operations Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute global procurement strategies for Operational Technology (OT) categories and suppliers.

• Manage strategic relationships with key OT manufacturers, system integrators, and service providers.

• Lead negotiations for global framework agreements, contracts, pricing models, and service level agreements.

• Identify and implement cost optimization, standardization, and synergy opportunities across various regions and sites.

• Assist local plants with complex sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations while ensuring compliance with global agreements.

• Oversee lifecycle and vendor performance management to ensure reliable and forward-looking OT solutions.

• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, third-party risk, and regulatory requirements within procurement operations.

• Collaborate extensively with OT, Engineering, Operations, Cybersecurity, Legal, and Procurement stakeholders globally.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic category management or indirect procurement, preferably in IT/OT.

• Experience in an international manufacturing setting, ideally in Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, or a comparable industry.

• Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT) systems, including DCS, SCADA, PLC, and MES.

• Proven track record in negotiating complex service agreements, framework agreements, and global supplier contracts.

• Proficiency in English.

• Knowledge of German is a significant advantage.

• Willingness to travel approximately 40%, primarily within the EMEA region.

• Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Ability to operate effectively within an international, matrixed organization.

• Must be eligible to work in the specified location.
