This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Oversee procurement operations for primary suppliers within the Energetics & Propulsion Commodity.
• Assist the Air & Space Defense Systems Strategic Business Unit.
• Manage subcontract agreements for purchase orders utilizing integrated supply chain models.
• Draft RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitation documents.
• Evaluate quotations and proposals through price/cost analysis methodologies.
• Formulate negotiation strategies and spearhead formal negotiations concerning pricing, delivery, and contractual terms.
• Place high-value, intricate purchase orders.
• Conduct risk assessments and create mitigation strategies and solutions.
• Travel to RTX and supplier locations as needed, typically on a quarterly basis or more frequently.
• Handle escalations and resolve issues for internal customers and suppliers.
• Oversee financial objectives related to subcontract deliveries.
• Propel business factory MRP success.
• Monitor metrics such as Late to Place, Late to Dock, and Delinquent Material.
• Create initiatives for cost reduction and plans for performance enhancement.
• Report directly to the Procurement Senior Manager.
• A Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of pertinent experience or an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or a comparable position.
• Familiarity with and adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or experience in highly regulated sectors.
• Experience with written contractual agreements, including Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus contracts.
• U.S. Person status or the ability to obtain required export authorizations.
• U.S. citizenship is necessary to access information under this program/contract.
• A Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Finance, or a STEM field is preferred.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
• Capability to analyze cost and pricing information and assess proposal compliance.
• Understanding of technical specifications for procured hardware and services, including Statements of Work (SOW).
• Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities.
• Practical experience in leading and managing processes, projects, and tactics within a specific work area.
