Procurement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Drive the execution of sourcing strategies across designated sites and categories in alignment with BD’s 3–5 year vision.

• Oversee the selection and qualification of suppliers.

• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and vendor agreements.

• Manage daily procurement operations.

• Formulate strategies aimed at reducing costs and lead times while enhancing quality and service levels.

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that are in line with BD’s strategic roadmap and category goals.

• Lead procurement initiatives across various sites.

• Create long-term plans that support organizational objectives.

• Identify and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities through supply chain optimization, Kaizen events, and design-to-value initiatives.

• Strengthen supplier relationships to enhance performance, supply chain efficiency, resilience, innovation, and cost optimization.

• Lead the supplier qualification process, mitigate risks, and optimize source-to-pay workflows.

• Ensure regional suppliers comply with standards and meet performance expectations.

• Establish and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• At least 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, ideally within manufacturing or healthcare.

• Strong comprehension of category strategies.

• Demonstrated negotiation skills and a proven ability to cultivate a pipeline of cost-saving opportunities.

• An analytical mindset to evaluate market trends and supplier capabilities.

• Capacity to think critically and creatively in complex scenarios.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Strong interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with senior management and key stakeholders.

• Proactive, results-driven mindset with a history of successful strategy implementation.
