Processing Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Comprehend payroll processing requirements for designated entities

• Execute biweekly and semimonthly payroll

• Follow up via phone or email when data contains inaccuracies or omissions

• Uphold client trust by protecting data and adhering to HIPAA regulations

• Handle adjustments, voids, reissues, and ACH uploads

• Manage off-cycle payroll processing

• Oversee the printing, packaging, and distribution of checks and advice slips

• Extract and import data from various software applications

• Administer garnishments, tax levies, and court orders

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies

• Coordinate payroll audits and evaluations to ensure payment accuracy and identify possible errors

• Assist in gathering information for specialized reports

• Prepare documents and correspondence

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma is required

• At least two years of relevant experience is necessary

• Proficient knowledge of accounting and payroll

• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

• Excellent research and analytical skills

• Proficient in email, Internet usage, and Microsoft Office applications

• Advanced skills in Excel

• Outstanding mathematical and calculation abilities

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Capable of multitasking

• Willing to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

• Ability to protect data and adhere to HIPAA standards
