Processing Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Comprehend payroll processing needs for designated entities

• Execute biweekly and semimonthly payroll

• Provide follow-up communication via phone or email when data has errors or omissions

• Protect data and adhere to HIPAA regulations

• Manage adjustments, voids, reissues, and ACH uploads

• Handle off-cycle payroll processing

• Oversee the printing, packaging, and distribution of checks/advice slips

• Extract and import data from various programs

• Process garnishments, tax levies, and court orders

• Investigate and resolve payroll-related issues

• Facilitate payroll audits/reviews to ensure accurate payments and identify potential discrepancies

• Assist in gathering information for special reports and preparing relevant documents and correspondence

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma is required

• At least two years of relevant experience is necessary

• Familiarity with accounting and payroll processes

• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to analyze data while maintaining a keen attention to detail

• Initiative in following up on transactions and making informed decisions

• Proficient research and analytical skills

• Solid email, Internet, and Microsoft Office proficiency

• Strong Excel skills

• Exceptional mathematical and calculation abilities

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Capability to multitask

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
