Processing Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Provide support and processing assistance to Mortgage Loan Originators.

• Ensure effective loan processing throughout all stages of the loan transaction process.

• Make copies of borrower information and organize documents.

• Prepare files for submission.

• Schedule appointments for signing.

• Send thank-you notes to clients and realtors.

• Conduct initial loan research to assess mortgage eligibility.

• Assist in pre-qualifications and pre-approval requests.

• Retrieve credit reports and operate AUS.

• Reach out to borrowers for any additional information needed.

• Enter data and establish new customer files using application details.

• Update and manage the marketing database for new loans.

• Maintain the Mortgage Loan Originator's database.

• Support Mortgage Loan Originators and other team members with various clerical tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college education is preferred.

• At least one year of experience and/or training.

• Experience with Encompass or a similar system.

• Basic computer proficiency.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge of the mortgage lending industry.

• Understanding of Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage products.

• Clear comprehension of current RESPA laws and regulations.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
