Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist Project Engineering, Small Project Teams, mill site engineering, and Manufacturing Technical Center discipline teams with capital projects and resource allocation.

• Ensure that GP discipline engineering quality standards and deliverables are established and met during capital project execution.

• Verify the integrity of the engineering project process scope definition and execution to align with business objectives.

• Work together with interdisciplinary engineers, designers, and suppliers to create innovative projects.

• Partner with subject matter experts and Collaboration and Support Center teams to craft business cases that back investment strategies.

• Foster relationships with Operations, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.

• Cultivate supplier relationships that support technology applications.

• Assist in the development and implementation of Design, Operate, and Maintain standards for systems and assets.

• Prioritize site support opportunities that are high-risk or high-profile based on SME capabilities.

• Recognize capital improvement opportunities and collaborate with site and external engineering teams on development, execution, and commissioning.

• Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements with the goal of achieving zero significant incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pulp & paper industry operations and engineering, ideally in integrated kraft mill(s).

• Understanding of both theoretical and practical elements of the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of relevant assets.

• Must be eligible to work full-time on or before Summer 2027.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper Science is required.

• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without the need for visa transfer or sponsorship.

• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Candidates may be required to successfully pass a drug test.
