Principal Workday Financials Consultant, FDM/R2R

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary Financials consultant for various client projects with minimal supervision.

• Grasp client financial business needs and offer strategic advice during design, configuration, prototyping, testing, and the transition to production.

• Assist clients during intricate annual financial events, fiscal year-end closures, and regular reporting cycles.

• Collaborate with Engagement Managers regarding project updates, scope adjustments, and tracking of financial milestones.

• Work across both technical and functional areas to ensure effective communication and alignment on projects.

• Accurately and promptly maintain project forecasts and time allocations.

• Support the Sales team with presentations, system demonstrations, and Level of Effort assessments for Workday Financials prospects.

• Remain updated on accounting standards, biannual enhancements of Workday Financials, and industry best practices.

• Deliver outstanding customer service and cultivate trusted relationships with finance and accounting leadership.

• Play a role in the growth and advancement of ERPA’s Workday Financials AMS practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of practical configuration experience within Workday Financials, mainly concentrating on Financial Accounting (FDM - Financial Data Model) or Record to Report (R2R).

• A demonstrated history of supporting or leading post-production, AMS, or implementation initiatives for Workday Financials clients.

• Profound knowledge in Workday FDM design, journal entries, ledger setup, business processes, and financial reporting.

• Strong comprehension of the Workday Financials security framework, custom reports, and calculated fields.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Active Workday Financials certification is preferred.

• Exceptional communication, client interaction, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple client projects at the same time.

• Legally permitted to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Must not require visa sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
