This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support, oversee, and lead transmission and distribution projects within Power and Renewable sectors.

• Design and coordinate high-voltage transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 500kV utilizing PLS-CADD.

• Develop the team while serving as the primary client-facing subject matter expert.

• Employ advanced engineering techniques for intricate assignments involving high-voltage and extra-high-voltage transmission lines.

• Customize standard methods to address complex design challenges.

• Provide specialized consultation regarding technical plans and systems utilized in high-voltage transmission line construction.

• Promote collaboration among different disciplines and project teams.

• Define project scope and comprehend client requirements thoroughly.

• Create final construction documents while ensuring quality control and compliance.

• Generate project design criteria, plan and profile drawings, structure framing and loading drawings, assembly drawings, foundation drawings, and construction specifications.

• Coordinate specific aspects of project design.

• Estimate construction costs and specify necessary materials.

• Deliver internal training presentations and mentor junior engineers.

• Assist in proposal bids.

• Enhance internal design standards and processes.

• Review project drawings, calculations, and specifications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.

• Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE is essential, along with the capability to train others.

• Prior experience working with or for a Utility is required.

• Must possess authorization for permanent work in the US.

• A minimum of 20 years of relevant transmission line engineering experience is preferred.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Licensure in multiple states is preferred.

• Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) is preferred.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in transmission line design, including line routing, engineering and design, construction, structural analysis, and clearance analysis.

• Proven history of maintaining positive client relationships.

• Experience in reviewing project drawings, calculations, and specifications.

• Exceptional presentation and verbal/written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and AutoCAD is preferred.

• Proficiency in MFAD/LPILE is preferred.

• Willingness to adopt evolving technology and AI tools.
