Principal Thermo-Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Construct, lead, and expand a high-achieving team of thermo-mechanical engineers throughout Europe.

• Establish technical direction, recruit and mentor team members, and oversee field execution.

• Partner with Sales to steer technical discussions, define PoC evaluations, and present product demonstrations.

• Assist customer engineering teams with simulation setup, intricate test cases, and the interpretation of results.

• Manage customer onboarding, deployment pipeline, account growth, training, and advanced troubleshooting.

• Offer product insights and translate customer feedback into new product features.

• Represent Vinci at industry conferences and semiconductor events.

• Monitor competitive technologies, industry trends, and market positioning.

• Aid customers in validating and optimizing complex semiconductor, electronics packaging, and wafer-scale designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

• Expert-level proficiency in commercial FEA software such as Ansys Mechanical, Abaqus, or similar tools.

• Over 15 years of hands-on experience in thermo-mechanical simulations.

• Extensive knowledge of semiconductor electronics packaging, advanced packaging technologies, or foundry ecosystems.

• Previous experience in dedicated customer-facing roles.

• Practical programming skills in Python or C++ for automating workflows or analyzing simulation data.

• Demonstrated managerial or technical leadership experience.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Familiarity with thermal management and cooling solutions and/or SI/PI workflows is preferred.

• Direct experience in commercializing technical software is a plus.

• Previous experience in technical pre-sales, application engineering, or strategic technical sales is advantageous.

• Capability to adopt physics-based workflows and AI-assisted design or simulation tools is desirable.
