Senior Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy production user interfaces for the Enode Platform, Link UI, and website.

• Contribute to the coded design system, which includes components, tokens, and documentation, ensuring synchronization with Figma, Claude, and other tools.

• Create prototypes in code to rapidly test ideas with customers and the team.

• Enhance interaction, motion, accessibility, and performance quality.

• Collaborate with the engineering team on front-end development, review processes, and releases.

• Assist engineering teams in designing clear and user-friendly APIs and API modifications.

• Develop tools and prototypes that foster better design-engineering collaboration.

• Help shape Enode’s approach to utilizing AI as a team.

• Engage with energy retailers, utilities, traders, and developers through products that connect and orchestrate energy devices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building user interfaces within a design engineering, front-end, or design-focused engineering role.

• Extensive knowledge of React and TypeScript.

• Strong grasp of HTML, CSS, and accessibility standards.

• Solid understanding of APIs, including reading documentation, working with real data, and comprehending API design.

• A portfolio that showcases both designed and developed work.

• Minimum of one year of experience using AI in design and engineering projects.

• Experience contributing to a design system that is actively utilized.

• Ability to work independently from an initial concept to a delivered feature without detailed specifications.

• Strong communication skills with both designers and engineers.

• Excellent written communication abilities.

• Availability to work within the CET ±3h time zone.
