Principal Technical Consultant – Network & Security Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the architecture and design of extensive network and security solutions across data centers, WAN/LAN, cloud, and hybrid environments.

• Work collaboratively with teams to evaluate requirements, define solutions, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards, compliance frameworks, and strategic objectives.

• Assign tasks and lead small teams of engineers, offering guidance and oversight.

• Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, dependencies, priorities, and risks effectively.

• Deliver technical governance and quality assurance from the initial design phase through deployment, validation, and optimization.

• Create, review, and present architectural documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), to both technical and executive audiences.

• Serve as the primary escalation point for intricate network and security issues.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor roadmaps, including those from Arista, Cisco, and Palo Alto.

• Engage in client meetings, architecture reviews, and steering committees to influence direction and foster consensus.

• Collaborate with internal AHEAD teams to ensure solution consistency, facilitate knowledge sharing, and align with delivery methodologies.

• Anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, fulfill commitments, and uphold client satisfaction and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in WAN/LAN, networking, and cloud technologies, including Azure.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.

• Proven ability to architect, design, and deliver effective solutions.

• Background in a consultative role.

• Demonstrated leadership experience.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Experience in designing, validating, and guiding the implementation of enterprise-scale network and security solutions.

• Capability to influence stakeholders and drive technical decisions.
