Principal Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the surveillance of supplier manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

• Guarantee that suppliers foster a culture of nuclear safety.

• Detect and report any deviations from contractual standards.

• Observe manufacturing operations including welding, non-destructive testing, dimensional control, and destructive testing.

• Document deviations using the designated template.

• Produce reports following each surveillance session.

• Evaluate End of Manufacturing Reports.

• Provide quality clearance prior to equipment shipment.

• Conduct unscheduled oversight based on supplier insights and identified weaknesses.

• Assist the supply chain and project teams by supplying information related to significant supplier-facility incidents.

• Act as a backup for the SQO team during overlapping tasks or vacations.

• Review final documentation and grant quality clearance upon completion of manufacturing.

• Report directly to the Manager of Supplier Quality EMEA.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.

• Over 5 years of experience as a manufacturing inspector or surveillance engineer within the nuclear sector.

• Preferred certification in NDE or welding, such as NF EN ISO 9712, CWI, or equivalent.

• In-depth knowledge of NDE, particularly UT and RT, alongside welding operations.

• Familiarity with nuclear construction codes and regulations, including RCC-M, ASME, and ESPN.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes for critical nuclear equipment.

• Willingness to travel frequently, between 50% and 75% of the time.
