Principal Strategist, Digital Strategy – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation of comprehensive digital strategies and transformation roadmaps that align with client business goals.

• Evaluate clients' digital capabilities, customer journeys, operational models, and technology ecosystems.

• Spot opportunities for enhancing customer engagement, operational efficiency, and business performance through digital transformation.

• Convert business goals and customer requirements into actionable strategic initiatives.

• Formulate prioritized recommendations, investment roadmaps, and strategies for implementation.

• Outline future-state digital experiences and capabilities across various channels and customer touchpoints.

• Assess emerging technologies and market trends for innovation and competitive advantage.

• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders and executive leadership.

• Conduct executive workshops, discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and strategic discussions.

• Convey complex strategic recommendations to both business and technology audiences.

• Create executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic narratives.

• Influence senior stakeholders and foster alignment across business units.

• Build relationships with client executives and key decision-makers.

• Develop customer-focused strategies informed by customer insights, business objectives, and market opportunities.

• Collaborate with research and experience teams to understand customer behaviors, needs, pain points, and expectations.

• Identify opportunities to enhance the customer journey across digital and physical touchpoints.

• Support customer journey mapping, experience strategy, personalization, and omnichannel initiatives.

• Recognize opportunities to boost customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty.

• Identify ways to utilize data, analytics, AI, and Generative AI to enhance customer experiences and business outcomes.

• Assist clients in defining practical AI-enabled transformation opportunities and strategic use cases.

• Collaborate with Data, AI, and Technology teams to ensure recommendations are technically feasible and commercially viable.

• Analyze emerging digital trends and their potential effects on client organizations.

• Support AI-enabled customer experience and operating model strategies.

• Advocate for and enforce information security practices, including acceptable use, malware protection, and password security.

• Identify, evaluate, and report on security risks impacting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

• Review data storage, processing, and transmission for compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.

• Integrate data protection measures throughout the information lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Digital Strategy, Management Consulting, Digital Transformation, Customer Experience Strategy, Product Strategy, or a related field.

• Proven experience leading complex digital strategy and transformation projects for enterprise-level organizations.

• Strong track record of working directly with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable digital strategies and roadmaps.

• In-depth understanding of customer experience, digital platforms, data, technology, and digital marketing ecosystems.

• Experience in facilitating executive workshops and strategic planning sessions.

• Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills.

• Proven capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Marketing, Technology, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
