This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Develop and nurture relationships with institutional investors, such as insurers, private credit funds, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, specialty credit funds, and those in the infrastructure and energy sectors.
• Assist in executing Crux’s strategy for institutional coverage and propel strategic capital initiatives forward.
• Convert institutional mandates, investment priorities, and capital requirements into partnership opportunities.
• Contribute to programmatic capital solutions that encompass debt, preferred equity, tax equity, insurance capital, corporate facilities, and other strategic ventures.
• Enhance investor buy-boxes and market approaches.
• Broaden institutional relationships into recurring, multi-product capital programs.
• Act as the main commercial relationship contact for designated institutional partnerships.
• Ensure that over 80% of prequalified developer transactions have an investable universe.
• Provide guidance to investors on market dynamics and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Structuring, Legal, and Business Management teams to deliver cohesive capital solutions.
• Maintain continuity in relationships from origination through execution and repeat deployment.
• Aid in originating multi-product opportunities and executing transactions.
• Structure and present investment opportunities that align with investor profiles.
• Collect market feedback to shape product development and capital strategy.
• Represent Crux at conferences, webinars, in whitepapers, and through direct engagement with investors.
• Build a network of strategic capital partners.
• Support the growth of the Strategic Institutional Capital group.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline; an MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
• Over 10 years of experience in principal investing, investment banking, capital formation, private credit, infrastructure finance, asset management, structured finance, or related capital markets fields.
• Strong connections with both equity and debt investors.
• Experience in fostering or advancing institutional relationships and commercial opportunities from initial engagement through to execution.
• Profound understanding of renewable energy transaction structures and associated market risks.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and energy transition investments as part of broader asset allocation strategies.
• Familiarity with structuring or originating debt, preferred equity, tax equity, equity, structured products, corporate joint ventures, or other institutional capital solutions.
• Expertise in aligning deal structures with prevailing market standards and investor interests.
• Ability to clearly communicate investment opportunities and risks to a diverse range of investors.
• Capability to design and implement tailored strategies, contributing to the development and scaling of institutional capital programs, strategic partnerships, or commercial initiatives.
• Comfort in collaborating across cross-functional teams to originate, negotiate, and execute complex transactions involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong comprehension of institutional investment processes, capital markets, and structured financing solutions.
• Intellectual curiosity and strategic mindset.
• Interest in utilizing technology, AI, and data to modernize institutional capital formation.
• FINRA SIE, Series 79, and 63 licenses required or a willingness to obtain them under Crux’s broker-dealer sponsorship.
