This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Prepare and distribute RFIs, RFPs, and letter subcontracts, while overseeing the execution of PR-to-PO processes.
• Issue medium-complexity purchase orders in alignment with FAR/DFAR and corporate compliance standards.
• Assist in developing negotiation strategies and conducting formal negotiations related to pricing, delivery, scope, terms and conditions, and other agreements.
• Conduct compliant price and cost analyses for proposals.
• Cultivate and maintain professional business relationships with multi-tier subcontractors.
• Work collaboratively with Programs, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Program Management, Planning, and other functional teams to facilitate manufacturing and ensure on-time delivery.
• Keep purchase orders updated to provide accurate and timely information regarding supplier deliveries.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with key suppliers and those identified as high-risk.
• Operate effectively in a remote or virtual work environment.
• Manage tasks with minimal oversight.
• Foster a collaborative team culture.
• A university degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in DoD procurement.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
• Capability to place purchase orders that exceed the TINA dollar threshold.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• An active and existing DoD Secret security clearance is required from day one.
• Experience in an SAP/PRISM-based environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with the technical requirements for both non-complex and complex mechanical items is preferred.
• Experience drafting written contractual authorizations and documents is preferred.
• Strong professional communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft products are preferred.
• Leadership abilities and the capability to interact internally and externally with suppliers are preferred.
• Experience in supplier negotiations involving pricing, schedules, terms, and conditions is preferred.
• Adaptability to change and a commitment to supporting the mission are preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are preferred.
