Principal Software Engineer – Engineering Strategy

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Develop and take charge of the architecture for a real-time content platform, encompassing data models, synchronization protocols, API interfaces, and client-side state management.

β€’ Lead technical decision-making within a cloud-native, multi-tenant setting.

β€’ Establish API design standards, testing strategies, performance benchmarks, and practices for observability.

β€’ Assess and choose third-party services, libraries, and infrastructure elements.

β€’ Create backend services for collaborative editing, conflict resolution, and content delivery.

β€’ Develop frontend systems for visual, real-time editing experiences, page builders, and publishing workflows.

β€’ Manage APIs, webhooks, and the developer-facing extension framework.

β€’ Contribute to UX architecture by designing innovative, stateful editing workflows.

β€’ Collaborate with product and design teams on technical strategies and incremental delivery plans.

β€’ Guide engineers through code reviews, collaboration, architectural feedback, and documentation.

β€’ Interact with customers and partners to validate architectural assumptions and integration methodologies.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 10 years of comprehensive software engineering experience, demonstrating a strong history of ownership throughout the entire product lifecycle.

β€’ Authentic full-stack proficiency, including experience with production systems on both backend and frontend.

β€’ Background in real-time or collaborative systems.

β€’ Proficient in cloud-native environments such as GCP, AWS, Cloudflare, or Azure.

β€’ Familiarity with containerization and contemporary deployment pipelines.

β€’ Expertise in API design, including REST, GraphQL, and event-driven interfaces.

β€’ Knowledge in frontend architecture, focusing on component modeling, state management, rendering performance, and the browser platform.

β€’ A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

β€’ A mindset of ownership, effective communication skills, systems thinking, and the patience of a builder.
