Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain front-end web applications utilizing contemporary web technologies.

• Create and style responsive web applications to deliver a refined and effective user experience.

• Develop and support backend REST services and business logic that underpin platform functionalities and agentic AI workflows.

• Contribute to agentic AI components leveraging frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith.

• Aid in the development and deployment of cloud-based services and infrastructure on AWS, including OpenSearch, SageMaker, Lambda, and SQS.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform, Packer, and Terragrunt.

• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, architects, and product owners to convert requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.

• Assist in testing, debugging, and optimizing performance.

• Maintain documentation for system architecture, APIs, and development processes.

• Offer feedback and mentorship to junior developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline with 9 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 7 years of experience.

• Successful completion of the CompTIA Security+ Examination within 270 days of employment.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen without dual citizenship.

• Capability to obtain a Secret Security clearance.

• Experience in building front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience in developing backend services and APIs, including RESTful service design and the implementation of complex business logic, using Python, Java, or NodeJS.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative agile environment.

• Preferred: Familiarity with ReactJS, LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, multi-agent orchestration, autonomous workflow design, LLM integration patterns, AWS, OpenSearch, SageMaker, Lambda, SQS, Terraform, Packer, Terragrunt, and DevSecOps practices.
