Principal Software Development Engineer in Test – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Design and create scalable, distributed testing frameworks and automated benchmarking tools for sophisticated cloud computing platforms.

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers.

• Establish the technical vision, roadmap, and best practices for performance engineering and automated validation.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain automated testing frameworks across diverse platforms.

• Set and uphold performance criteria, SLAs, and latency targets throughout global compute fleet deployments.

• Design, scale, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, automated regression, and performance testing.

• Collaborate with developers, SRE, datacenter operations, and the Meerkat team.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks while setting hardware validation standards.

• Process performance telemetry, construct predictive capacity models, and deliver actionable technical insights.

• Analyze performance data and generate actionable documents for the Compute team.

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of high-level hardware and software performance goals.

• Proficient in data analysis techniques for complex performance telemetry and predictive capacity models.

• Expertise in Python programming.

• Experience with Go programming language.

• Proficient in Linux/Bash scripting for backend automation, system tools, and testing suites.

• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps integration.

• Experience with Jenkins for pipeline scaling.

• Advanced skills in Git workflows.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems.

• Familiarity with using AI to expedite development tasks.
