Principal Software Development Engineer, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee the comprehensive architecture of intricate, high-scale web applications and services, encompassing user interfaces, APIs, data storage, and cloud infrastructure.

• Steer technical direction and decision-making for initiatives involving multiple teams.

• Set engineering standards and best practices for full-stack development, testing, and operations.

• Work collaboratively with product management, UX, and cross-functional teams to convert business goals into engineering strategies and technical roadmaps.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to senior and staff engineers.

• Facilitate technical reviews and design discussions.

• Address systemic technical issues related to service boundaries, data models, and integration approaches.

• Advocate for code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and incident management.

• Assess and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and architectures to enhance developer experience, scalability, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience in developing and maintaining production web applications.

• Extensive experience with both front-end and back-end components.

• Proven history of leading technical design and delivering complex, high-scale systems or platforms that involve multiple teams and services.

• Experience in mentoring senior engineers and shaping engineering practices and standards across teams.

• Familiarity with working in an agile, product-oriented environment.
