Principal Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the architecture, technical strategy, and engineering standards across various CRM teams.

• Take responsibility for the architecture and design patterns of large-scale, data-driven systems that include segmentation, CRM workflows, and shared platform paths.

• Enhance engineering standards for reliability, performance, observability, and operability at scale.

• Align technical direction with Leads, Product, CRM Ops, Connect, and partner teams.

• Mentor engineers and technical leads within the CRM domain.

• Oversee the diagnosis and resolution of high-severity, cross-team CRM customer incidents.

• Establish practical standards for safe, evidence-based AI implementation across engineering and pertinent CRM workflows.

• Identify and implement platform enhancements that mitigate systemic risk and speed up delivery.

• Strengthen execution through CI/CD, production readiness, observability, continuous improvement, and refined working methods.

• Set the technical direction for platform migrations and integrations, including migration tools, data cutover, and dual-run/coexistence strategies.

• Shape the architecture for webhooks and third-party integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Demonstrated technical impact at the staff/principal level.

• Extensive experience in systems design for distributed, data-intensive products that affect multiple teams and services.

• Strong judgment regarding architectural trade-offs, production readiness, and long-term maintainability.

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies in an Agile/Lean/Continuous Delivery environment.

• Knowledge of contemporary Quality and Testing principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to influence technical direction across teams and align senior engineering and product stakeholders.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.

• Hands-on experience in designing and delivering large data/platform migrations, including tooling, cutover, rollback, and dual-run operability.

• Experience in establishing engineering standards across multiple teams.

• Proficiency in Golang and/or Java services at scale is a plus.

• Extensive experience with large MySQL/relational data platforms is advantageous.

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is a plus.

• Previous experience in CRM, marketing technology, or audience/segmentation domains is beneficial.

• Familiarity with query federation/distributed querying systems is a plus.

• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-team incidents or production fixes is advantageous.

• Practical experience in applying AI within software delivery or CRM/marketing technology products is beneficial.
