This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Achieve an annual net revenue exceeding $750,000 through client development, project pursuits, and strategic business initiatives.
• Cultivate and sustain client relationships across California while securing new business opportunities.
• Broaden the firm's client portfolio through networking, marketing efforts, relationship building, and active participation in the industry.
• Spearhead proposal development, conduct client interviews, drive strategic pursuits, and manage contract negotiations.
• Direct and supervise environmental site investigation and remediation projects until regulatory closure is achieved.
• Offer senior-level technical expertise in investigation design, evaluation of remedial alternatives, corrective actions, and adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical leadership on projects addressing groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and sediment contamination.
• Mentor, develop, and support technical staff members.
• Oversee the preparation of technical reports, work plans, remedial designs, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
• Represent the firm through participation in industry organizations, conferences, professional associations, and strategic forums.
• Collaborate with practice leaders to identify interdisciplinary opportunities and enhance the consulting platform.
• Manage projects with budgets ranging from approximately $100,000 to $25 million.
• Over 20 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental consulting, site investigation, and remediation.
• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or other relevant professional registrations are preferred but not mandatory.
• Extensive experience in environmental investigation and remediation concerning groundwater, soil, soil vapor, sediment contamination, petroleum hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents.
• Experience with emerging contaminants is preferred.
• Background in utility, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, and/or brownfield redevelopment sites is preferred.
• Proven track record in managing complex environmental remediation projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and remediation programs.
• Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, UST, and state-led cleanup programs is preferred.
• Experience with remedial systems, excavation, groundwater treatment, vapor mitigation, and site restoration is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain senior-level client relationships and contribute to business development and revenue growth.
• Strong skills in technical writing, communication, leadership, and organization.
• Experience in project budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and financial performance management.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, develop markets, and contribute to the sustainable growth of a consulting practice.
• Candidates must be located in Northern California or the Bay Area.
• Periodic travel throughout California is required.
