This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Drive annual net revenue beyond $750,000 through client engagement, project initiatives, and strategic business development efforts.
• Cultivate and nurture client relationships throughout California while securing new business prospects.
• Broaden the firm's client portfolio via networking, marketing, relationship cultivation, and involvement in the industry.
• Lead the development of proposals, conduct client interviews, spearhead strategic pursuits, and negotiate contracts.
• Supervise environmental site investigation and remediation projects until achieving regulatory closure.
• Offer senior-level technical expertise in the design of investigations, evaluation of remedial alternatives, corrective measures, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Provide technical guidance on projects related to groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and sediment contamination.
• Mentor and support technical staff throughout the organization.
• Oversee the creation of technical reports, work plans, remedial designs, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
• Represent the firm at industry organizations, conferences, professional associations, and strategic forums.
• Collaborate with practice leaders to identify interdisciplinary opportunities and enhance the consulting platform.
• Over 20 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental consulting, site investigation, and remediation.
• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or other relevant professional credentials are preferred but not mandatory.
• Extensive experience in environmental investigation and remediation, particularly with groundwater contamination, soil contamination, soil vapor, sediment contamination, petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and emerging contaminants is preferred.
• Experience with utility, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, and/or brownfield redevelopment sites is preferred.
• Proven track record of managing complex environmental remediation projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong comprehension of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and remediation programs.
• Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, UST, and state-led cleanup programs is preferred.
• Experience with remedial systems, excavation, groundwater treatment, vapor mitigation, and site restoration is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain senior-level client relationships and contribute to business development and revenue growth.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
• Proven experience with project budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and financial performance management.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to identify opportunities, develop markets, and contribute to the long-term growth of a consulting practice.
• Candidates must reside in Northern California or the Bay Area.
• Some travel throughout California is required.
