Principal ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and tailor ServiceNow applications and ITSM modules, such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

• Create custom scripts, including Business Rules and Script Includes, to automate workflows and fulfill business needs.

• Integrate ServiceNow with other systems utilizing REST/SOAP and associated technologies.

• Conduct administration tasks, including managing users and roles, performing system maintenance, and executing health checks.

• Personalize user interfaces, forms, and workflows to enhance user experience.

• Offer end-user support and troubleshoot integrated processes and platform functionalities.

• Define and generate reports, dashboards, and data analysis products in collaboration with end users, stakeholders, and management.

• Engage in IT technical process evaluations, postmortems, and ongoing process enhancements.

• Keep current with ServiceNow and industry certifications while pursuing additional credentials.

• Serve as a technical authority, contribute to whitepapers, BOEs, and design documents, and lead customer demonstrations.

• Facilitate methodology changes, manage customer deliverables, resolve process challenges, and establish standards.

• Mentor junior team members, foster staff development, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and spearhead innovation projects and technology pilots.


⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Training, Certification(s), or Degree.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in developing and customizing ServiceNow applications and ITSM modules.

• Skilled in SOAP, REST, and web services, including their creation and consumption.

• Strong scripting capabilities in at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript.

• Familiarity with Import Sets, Transform Maps, and the CMDB.

• Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot problems, and devise technical solutions.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Knowledge of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle.

• Capability to identify, understand, document, and create functionalities aligned with customer value streams.

• Strong communication skills as a technical authority and contributor to whitepapers, BOEs, and design documents.

• Proven ability to lead high-stakes customer demonstrations.

• Organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced software development environment.

• Quick learner of new technologies.

• Ability to facilitate methodology changes, oversee customer deliverables, resolve process challenges, and shape standards.

• Strong communication skills for managing customer interactions and negotiating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders, mentor junior team members, support staff development, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and spearhead innovation projects and technology pilots.

• ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator certification.

• US citizenship is not mandatory.

• Must currently hold no clearance; no clearance or public trust is required.
