Principal Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute intricate project definitions, timelines, budgets, and objectives for significant or multiple high-complexity initiatives.

• Assess the necessity and implications of project scope modifications and implement suggestions accordingly.

• Secure stakeholder agreement, approval, and consensus on various project elements.

• Identify resources and staff for projects; assemble project teams focused on communication, deadlines, assignments, and goals.

• Act as the primary liaison with client project management.

• Oversee costs, schedules, quality, project deliverables, risks, and mitigation strategies.

• Predict and manage alterations to technical requirements, business needs, and timelines.

• Gather and provide project metrics; manage expectations of clients, the company, and project teams.

• Create and deliver presentations that promote expanded business opportunities.

• Engage in proposal initiatives and sales discussions.

• Manage client expectations while balancing the needs of the company and the client.

• Supervise assigned project personnel, delegate tasks, offer guidance, address performance issues, and provide input on performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of twelve years of project planning/management experience.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Catalyst, including budget creation, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software, and finance and accounting principles.

• Experience with productivity and methodology tools that enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

• Knowledge of administrative processes.

• Understanding of client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors.

• Familiarity with delivery assurance principles and relevant procedures.

• Experience with techniques and strategies related to the architecture, development, integration, and execution of project phases.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient interpersonal and presentation skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Proficient in estimating and common project management practices.
