Principal Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Transform client priorities into well-defined initiatives, including ownership, timelines, risks, and subsequent steps involving Client Engagement, Product, Engineering, and client stakeholders.

• Take charge of client-facing operational plans from initiation and scoping through to launch, adoption, and sustained success.

• Oversee dependencies, decision-making points, launch preparedness, stakeholder alignment, and rollout specifics.

• Develop intake processes, tracking systems, status updates, and escalation protocols for carrier tasks.

• Highlight risks related to timelines, scope, and dependencies; present options and facilitate decision-making.

• Convey carrier feedback and issues into actionable items for internal teams.

• Articulate Product and Engineering limitations to clients in clear, confidence-inspiring language.

• Recognize patterns in client engagements and translate them into enhanced processes, product upgrades, or scalable client programs.

• Manage RAID logs, map dependencies, create launch plans, follow up, report status, and oversee critical path management.

• Produce status updates, tracking tools, launch plans, and decision documentation.

• Utilize ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools to draft strategies, synthesize feedback, maintain documentation, and identify potential risks.

• Assist in scaling Client Engagement's operational framework for commitments, launches, escalations, and cross-functional initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive program management experience leading intricate, cross-functional projects under stakeholder pressure, with fluctuating timelines, vague requirements, and external clients.

• Experience in client-facing roles with strong internal follow-through.

• Capacity to grasp product and engineering limitations without the necessity of coding.

• Skill in establishing order amid uncertainty and functioning without complete clarity.

• Capability to balance urgency with discipline through ownership, deadlines, risks, dependencies, decisions, and follow-ups.

• Proficiency in leading through influence.

• Ability to rapidly understand claims workflows, carrier operations, product behavior, and client contexts.

• Experience in the P&C insurance industry is a significant advantage, though not essential.

• A PMP or a related certification is mandatory in the application process.
