Principal Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead product initiatives that advance Zscaler's Agentic SOC & MDR business by identifying and executing impactful opportunities in threat detection and response.

• Assess the changing threat landscape and enhance threat management products to safeguard customers against cyberattacks.

• Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap for capabilities in threat detection and response.

• Collaborate with customers, security researchers, and internal stakeholders to convert insights from the threat landscape into unique product solutions.

• Facilitate cross-functional execution with engineering, security research, and go-to-market teams.

• Evaluate and improve product impact through both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

• Function as the general manager of the product area, overseeing commercialization, technical direction, and product quality.

• Report directly to the Sr. Director of Product Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to investigate and integrate AI tools into everyday workflows to improve problem-solving and productivity.

• Over 8 years of product management experience with a history of leading large-scale initiatives and delivering significant business impact.

• Extensive knowledge in cybersecurity, particularly in threat detection, response, and the evolving threat landscape.

• Experience with B2B SaaS or enterprise security products, demonstrating an understanding of complex sales cycles and customer requirements.

• Technical fluency to collaborate effectively with security researchers and engineering teams on intricate threat management systems and detection technologies.

• Strong decision-making and communication abilities to foster alignment among stakeholders, make independent decisions, and clearly convey product strategy and rationale.

• Preferred: Proven capability to utilize AI technologies and workflows to enhance operational efficiency measurably.

• Preferred: Experience with AI/ML-driven security solutions or autonomous detection systems, especially in SOC automation, agentic workflows, or intelligent threat response.

• Preferred: Background in SOC operations, threat intelligence, or detection engineering.

• Preferred: Previous experience at a security vendor or in security product commercialization, particularly in the MDR, XDR, or SIEM/detection sectors.
