Principal Product Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take the lead on major projects from inception to completion.

• Develop product strategies and create compelling business cases.

• Utilize Agile transformation and program delivery expertise within a user-focused product environment.

• Oversee, mentor, and foster the growth of a select group of senior personnel.

• Prioritize employee performance management.

• Facilitate effective outcomes from meetings with diverse stakeholders and interest groups.

• Plan and guide consulting projects from start to finish.

• Convert business needs into cost-effective functional specifications.

• Mentor team members and engage with the broader community.

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in Product Management, User Experience, Agile methodologies, and Programme Assurance.

• Significant experience in at least two major business sectors.

• Familiarity with at least two business application environments.

• Proven track record in C-Level stakeholder communication and relationship development.

• Experience in coaching and mentoring clients to enhance their understanding of product management.

• Comprehensive understanding of business and technology, along with awareness of industry trends.

• Proven success in delivering results as part of an agile team.

• Background in line management or coaching other professionals.

• Skilled in facilitating large gatherings of diverse stakeholders.

• Capability to plan and lead consulting projects from initiation to completion.

• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business and project dynamics.

• Flexibility to adapt and lead in new areas of expertise.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Proficient in translating business requirements into cost-effective functional specifications.

• Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.

• Ability to work flexibly under tight deadlines in dynamic and fast-paced environments.

• Strong skills in team management, particularly in managing multidisciplinary teams.

• Capability to manage, mentor, and coach team members and the wider community.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Desirable: experience in a digital start-up.

• Desirable: product management and delivery of high-quality digital products.

• Desirable: experience in a full-service digital agency.

• Desirable: background in leading Digital Transformation initiatives.

• Desirable: experience in project management across waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, PRINCE2, or MSP.

• Desirable: Certified Scrum Product Owner.

• Desirable: active participation in communities of interest.
