This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee procurement operations for assigned suppliers, which includes part setup, placing purchase orders, expediting, and executing deliveries.
• Track and ensure the accuracy of ERP/MRP system data, encompassing lead times, supply periods, safety stock, and other procurement metrics.
• Build and nurture supplier relationships while enhancing quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.
• Engage in supplier negotiations, conduct competitive bids, and manage sourcing activities.
• Evaluate supplier performance, identify potential risks and trends, and address issues related to shortages, delays, and supply interruptions.
• Collaborate with Planners and cross-functional teams to tackle critical shortages and enhance supplier delivery timelines.
• Address discrepancies related to receiving, invoices, purchase orders, and suppliers.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
• Assist in production readiness reviews, DMP management, and the purchasing activities necessary for continuous production.
• Generate procurement metrics, supplier performance reports, risk assessments, and presentations; support audits, leadership reviews, and special projects.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline.
• Proven professional or educational experience communicating in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information related to this program/contract.
• Previous purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with SAP, Agile, or other ERP/MRP systems.
• Background in competitive bidding, supplier development, negotiations, and supplier performance management.
• Understanding of Lean principles, continuous improvement strategies, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, FAR/DFAR regulations, and supplier compliance requirements.
