This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee procurement functions for designated suppliers, which includes part setup, placing purchase orders, expediting processes, and ensuring timely delivery.
β’ Track and uphold precise ERP/MRP system data, such as lead times, supply periods, safety stock levels, and other relevant procurement metrics.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with suppliers while fostering enhancements in quality, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines.
β’ Engage in supplier negotiations, solicit competitive bids, and participate in sourcing activities.
β’ Assess supplier performance, recognize risks and trends, and tackle issues related to shortages, delays, and supply interruptions.
β’ Collaborate with Planners and cross-functional teams to address shortages and enhance supplier delivery performance.
β’ Address discrepancies related to receiving, invoices, purchase orders, and suppliers.
β’ Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective measures in collaboration with suppliers.
β’ Assist in production readiness assessments, DMP management, and purchasing efforts necessary for maintaining production continuity.
β’ Generate procurement metrics, supplier performance evaluations, risk assessments, and presentations.
β’ Contribute to audits, leadership assessments, and special projects.
β’ A University Degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant prior experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline.
β’ Proven professional or educational experience in communicating effectively in both English and Spanish (both verbal and written).
β’ U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
β’ Previous experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing setting.
β’ Familiarity with SAP, Agile, or other ERP/MRP systems.
β’ Experience with competitive bidding, supplier development, negotiation, and performance management.
β’ Understanding of Lean principles, continuous improvement practices, and root cause analysis techniques.
β’ Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, FAR/DFAR regulations, and supplier compliance obligations.
β’ Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the commencement of employment.
