This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify, negotiate, award, and document acquisitions for materials, services, and supplies.
• Gather and analyze data to perform price evaluations and review proposals to set pricing goals.
• Assist in the early identification and engagement of suppliers for new business opportunities.
• Oversee Supply Chain bid and proposal efforts for strategic initiatives.
• Apply sourcing techniques such as best value assessments and Total Cost of Ownership.
• Conduct cost analyses, facilitate negotiations, and assess supplier risks.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to understand technical challenges and propose solutions for purchasing technologies.
• Offer risk and opportunity assessments for early engagements related to onboarding new suppliers.
• Convey primary contract, quality, terms, and conditions requirements to suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance concerning cost, schedule, and quality standards.
• Work with internal and supplier cross-functional teams.
• Stay informed on industry trends and manufacturing processes.
• Aid in the development of bids and agreements.
• Implement customer requirements, government regulations, public laws, and Raytheon policies and procedures.
• Conduct quotation processes and supplier negotiations.
• Prepare purchase order documentation.
• Choose qualified suppliers and seek alternative options when necessary.
• Manage suppliers after award in line with company guidelines and work instructions.
• Compile Long Term Agreements and/or Pricing Agreements.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
• Proven experience in placing high complexity POs/Subcontracts and processing a high volume of POs across various business units.
• Demonstrated ability to manage job responsibilities effectively in a virtual environment with minimal supervision.
• Experience in performing price and cost analysis, source selection/justification, and evaluating supplier quotations.
• Knowledge of DoD procurement processes and familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
• Capability to place POs exceeding the TINA dollar threshold.
• Understanding of purchasing complex electrical and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong leadership abilities – influence, presence, and capability to interface both internally and with suppliers.
• Proficient negotiation skills, including the ability to lead formal negotiations and teleconferences.
• Experience in reading technical drawings.
• Familiarity with standard computer systems focused on supplier management processes (SAP-PRISM).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
