This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +1 more country.
• Oversee all procurement activities related to energy systems for designated Procurement Projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of components while adhering to budget constraints and meeting applicable quality standards.
• Monitor ongoing projects, provide updates on their status and changes, mitigate obstacles, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Contribute to sourcing plans aimed at minimizing risks, generating savings, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Collaborate directly with Business, Engineering, Quality, and Sales departments, as well as external customers.
• Assist in the development of procurement strategies and plans alongside Offer and Project Management teams.
• Identify demand and potential suppliers while establishing effective communication channels with them.
• Aid in sourcing strategies, commercial terms, solicitation of quotations, analysis of contract proposals, contract preparation, and purchasing processes.
• Analyze costs within commodity groups and formulate strategies to optimize the cost/value ratio of the supplier base.
• Foster relationships with suppliers and partners, addressing contract performance issues as they arise.
• Review and communicate safety-related requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Westinghouse Procurement policies.
• Evaluate supplier capacity, capability, and manufacturing processes against the technical requirements of projects.
• Manage supply and supplier commitments, including change management, contract management, negotiations, agreements, and system updates.
• Assist Accounts Payable in resolving discrepancies between supplier invoices and purchase orders.
• Report to the APX Global Supply Chain Solution's Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in global supplier performance activities or global supplier project management.
• Experience collaborating with multinational teams.
• Background in nuclear or mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of Italian or Spanish is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time to supplier sites in Italy or Spain.
