Sourcing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and assess competitive pricing strategies across barge, crane and rigging, rail, terminal operations, trucking, and warehousing.

• Partner with internal teams to create comprehensive logistics solutions that fulfill customer needs, project deadlines, and financial targets.

• Identify, assess, and negotiate with carriers, vendors, and service providers.

• Build and sustain vendor relationships.

• Prepare and evaluate vendor quotes, pricing proposals, and cost analysis for customer bids and project opportunities.

• Discover cost-reduction opportunities and suggest enhancements to sourcing and supply chain processes.

• Keep track of transportation market trends, industry changes, and competitor pricing strategies.

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure sourcing decisions align with customer expectations and profitability objectives.

• Maintain comprehensive records of vendor pricing and sourcing documentation.

• Participate in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement to boost pricing accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience in logistics sourcing, transportation procurement, freight pricing, or supply chain analysis.

• Highly desirable familiarity with multimodal transportation, project cargo, heavy haul, or specialized logistics.

• Strong analytical skills with a background in evaluating quotes, comparing costs, and discovering competitive pricing opportunities.

• Capability to negotiate rates and cultivate professional relationships with transportation providers.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as in a team setting.
