This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the employer branding public relations by highlighting Twilio’s workforce, values, and culture through proactive external storytelling.
• Design and implement an external communications strategy for Twilio’s Chief Administrative Officer, encompassing media opportunities, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and LinkedIn presence.
• Identify storytelling opportunities with partners and customers, and proactively pitch media regarding their use of Twilio’s platform.
• Create thought leadership content and secure media coverage for Twilio.org and social impact organizations utilizing Twilio products.
• Assist with quarterly earnings reports, acquisition announcements, and industry investment disclosures in collaboration with Investor Relations.
• Direct PR initiatives and manage media relations, including proactive outreach to press, working alongside internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
• Shape and communicate Twilio’s narrative to media, customers, industry analysts, and employees.
• Over 10 years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, or public relations, preferably in a high-growth or enterprise technology setting.
• Outstanding media relations skills with the capability to pitch and secure stories in leading business and technology publications.
• Demonstrated experience in directly supporting and advising C-suite executives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities.
• Strong executive judgment with the ability to convey a specific leader’s authentic voice.
• Robust business acumen and experience in financial communications, ideally with a publicly traded company.
• Strategic thinker with a systematic approach and tactical execution skills.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and adeptness in managing competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work simultaneously with multiple cross-functional teams.
• Active user of AI with a willingness to develop innovative workflows using AI tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise technology, cloud communications, API technologies, data platforms, and the customer engagement landscape.
• Experience managing executives’ social media profiles, such as LinkedIn.
• Background in both fast-paced agency and in-house settings is preferred.
• This position is open to candidates residing outside California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State.
• Anticipated travel of approximately 20%.
