Principal Operational Excellence Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Engage in the MCA sales process by crafting sales presentations, assessing client change management requirements, and drafting statements of work.

• Lead and facilitate consultative services for clients focusing on enterprise transformation readiness.

• Evaluate and document client culture, awareness, and adoption of best practices in manufacturing and operational excellence, along with relevant technologies.

• Design and conduct executive sessions aimed at establishing cross-functional strategic plans.

• Guide team sessions to outline both current and future-state processes and value streams.

• Create quantitative models reflecting current business performance and future design strategies.

• Communicate engagement ROI and value creation to senior executives.

• Develop strategic and high-level project plans for transitioning from the current state to the proposed design.

• Identify and address project challenges related to change management, process implementation, data flow, application deployment, escalation, and resolution.

• Generate and present deliverables to senior executives and organizational stakeholders.

• Facilitate the creation of KPI success metrics.

• Construct frameworks for managing organizational change.

• Define the desired end state and success criteria.

• Develop operational excellence training materials and programs to educate and mentor MCA Connect team members.

• Enhance client competitiveness, generate economic value, foster revenue growth, boost productivity, and implement significant change.

• Employ continuous improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to evaluate client strategies, assets, processes, and technologies.

• Advocate for the value of Operational Excellence to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and technology leverage, and formulate strategic transformation roadmaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven executive leadership skills to manage and develop change management personnel.

• Exceptional presentation and sales skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• A minimum of 15 years of experience with a solid understanding of enterprise solutions.

• Experience in strategic business transformation or manufacturing, with at least 8 years in two specified areas.

• Industry experience in lean manufacturing.

• Expertise in strategic business transformation utilizing Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma tools.

• Experience implementing industry best practices to facilitate business transformation.

• Proven track record in applying continuous improvement tools and concepts.

• A minimum of 10 years of ERP general consulting or production experience.

• At least 5 years of ERP Master Planning consulting or production experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of ERP lean manufacturing consulting or production experience.

• Ability to design unique solutions for high mix manufacturing challenges.

• Experience integrating MRP into scheduling solutions across the supply chain.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong skills with project management methodologies, tools, and lifecycle phases.

• Experience with software implementation projects.

• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.

• Experience with lean manufacturing ERP solutions, Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement tools, or Six Sigma tools is highly preferred.

• Minimum of ten years in managing and developing direct reports.
