This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
β’ Act as a firmwide authority on compliance related to cultural resources.
β’ Offer strategic guidance and consultation to project teams and clients regarding complex regulatory matters and technical methodologies.
β’ Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal environmental laws, including NHPA, ARPA, and NEPA.
β’ Plan, define, prepare, and review field investigations, analyses, technical reports, and documentation.
β’ Supervise and direct archaeological and cultural resources investigations conducted by staff archaeologists or subconsultants.
β’ Maintain a notable external reputation in technical leadership through publications, conference presentations, and involvement in scientific or regulatory working groups.
β’ Enhance efficiencies while ensuring scientific rigor and regulatory defensibility of deliverables.
β’ Foster relationships with regulatory agencies, scientific collaborators, and industry organizations.
β’ Represent the firm in relevant professional organizations, advisory committees, and regulatory forums.
β’ Oversee and manage projects from initiation to execution, including scoping, technical strategy, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
β’ Mentor and develop staff throughout the firm.
β’ A graduate degree (e.g., M.A, M.S, or Ph.D.) in archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
β’ A minimum of 12 years of relevant post-education experience in Section 106/110 Compliance.
β’ Experience in cultural resource management within the Midwest or South.
β’ Proven ability to lead and mentor others.
β’ Excellent communication skills.
