Principal Info Sec Technologist – Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and expertise in engineering and architectural initiatives for information security technology solutions.

• Ensure governance across projects, applications, and infrastructure.

• Oversee product and software design and development across various technical teams.

• Formulate both short- and long-term strategies to mitigate risks and align business needs with security standards.

• Assist in problem analysis and requirements development.

• Create roadmaps and plans while monitoring progress against them.

• Lead decisions on build-versus-buy and manage vendor selection processes.

• Review and approve analyses, designs, and other related work.

• Guarantee that identity, data protection, and privacy measures are integrated into production solutions.

• Conduct technical presentations on security, risk identification and mitigation, standards, best practices, emerging technologies, retrospectives, and lessons learned.

• Drive the framework for systems, infrastructure, and cloud environments concerning security standards and compliance.

• Develop and assess system designs and architectures while providing security guidance in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.

• Evaluate and document existing platform designs concerning data privacy.

• Generate strategic concepts for next-generation platform designs focused on security and privacy.

• Participate in leadership meetings and councils related to technical and business-driven initiatives.

• Perform additional duties as assigned or evident.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years of experience in an architecture role, possessing knowledge and experience in developing reference architectures and patterns that support governance functions, or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience; OR Master’s Degree with 10 years of related experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of all security domains, including Identity and Access Management (I&AM), Network, End User Compute, Application, Platform, and Data.

• Profound understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and the practical application of existing technologies.

• Extensive knowledge of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies.

• Experience in designing security controls for deploying applications and infrastructure in public cloud services.

• Ability to conceptualize future solutions and technical designs that meet essential business requirements.

• Capacity for adaptive learning of complex technical systems.

• Organizational agility to drive execution effectively.

• Creative problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
