Principal Golang Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Design enterprise-scale cloud-native platforms utilizing Golang, Kubernetes, AWS, EKS, and distributed systems.

• Create and design cloud-native applications and platforms, moving beyond mere application deployment or basic Kubernetes management.

• Develop Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, CRDs, and associated platform components.

• Construct AWS/EKS-based enterprise distributed systems and microservices.

• Incorporate Agentic AI, RAG, MCP, or LLM-based functionalities into cloud-native platforms or distributed systems.

• Plan for scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, and high availability.

• Conduct production troubleshooting.

• Utilize observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of comprehensive software/IT experience.

• Proficient in Golang/Go development and architecture.

• Extensive experience with Docker, Helm, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure automation.

• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or enterprise observability.

• Required integration experience with Agentic AI, RAG, MCP/LLM and cloud-native platforms.

• Expert-level proficiency in Kubernetes engineering.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, CRDs, Kubebuilder, Controller-Runtime, or Operator SDK.

• Strong expertise in AWS/EKS architecture.

• Background in enterprise distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Solid understanding of scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, high availability, and production troubleshooting.

• Experience with Kubernetes multi-cluster/federation is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Istio/Envoy, Kafka, Terraform, and ArgoCD is strongly preferred.
