Principal Golang Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Design and implement enterprise-level cloud-native platforms utilizing Golang, Kubernetes, AWS, EKS, and distributed systems.

• Create and develop cloud-native applications and platforms, going beyond mere application deployment or basic Kubernetes management.

• Build Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, CRDs, and associated platform components.

• Architect enterprise distributed systems and microservices based on AWS/EKS.

• Incorporate Agentic AI, RAG, MCP, or LLM-based features into cloud-native platforms or distributed systems.

• Ensure designs are scalable, resilient, fault-tolerant, and highly available.

• Conduct troubleshooting in production environments.

• Utilize observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in software and IT.

• Proficient hands-on development and architecture skills in Golang/Go.

• Extensive experience with Docker, Helm, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure automation.

• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or enterprise observability practices.

• Proven experience integrating Agentic AI, RAG, MCP/LLM with cloud-native platforms is essential.

• Expert knowledge in Kubernetes engineering.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, CRDs, Kubebuilder, Controller-Runtime, or Operator SDK.

• Strong background in AWS/EKS architecture.

• Expertise in enterprise distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Solid understanding of scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, high availability, and production troubleshooting.

• Experience with Kubernetes multi-cluster/federation is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Istio/Envoy, Kafka, Terraform, and ArgoCD is strongly preferred.
