Principal Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of products from inception to delivery, managing architecture through to deployed code.

• Design, develop, test, launch, and support features across React front-end and C# and Python back-end technologies.

• Revamp legacy products by establishing target architectures and migration strategies while ensuring stability.

• Determine architectural direction throughout the portfolio by utilizing shared libraries, reusable components, engineering standards, and governance practices.

• Integrate AI functionalities into existing products and collaborate with product managers to create new AI use cases.

• Lead technical decision-making by documenting trade-offs in a structured manner.

• Ensure stakeholders have visibility into engineering costs and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Provide mentorship to a team of 5–7 senior engineers.

• Advocate for AI-assisted development and promote modern engineering practices throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience as a software engineer or architect.

• Proven experience in establishing architecture hands-on and driving its acceptance within an organization.

• Experience in consulting or professional services is preferred.

• Comprehensive full-stack expertise in React and C#/.NET, along with practical knowledge of Python.

• Familiarity with Azure is preferred.

• Demonstrated history of modernizing legacy applications in live environments.

• Experience in deploying AI or LLM features into production applications is preferred.

• Regular use of AI coding tools.

• Strong DevSecOps practices and hands-on experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

• Established engineering leadership skills, including team leadership, mentoring senior engineers, and aligning cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with executives.

• Comfortable working within Agile, cross-functional product teams.
