Principal Engineer – Wind Turbine Testing, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development, validation, and execution of PPT methods for North America and globally.

• Manage A2LA Accreditation renewals in collaboration with global teams.

• Direct IECRE assessments alongside international staff.

• Guide the application and qualification process for Measnet with global teams.

• Spearhead inter-office quality control initiatives across global offices.

• Engage in data analysis and reporting as needed.

• Review PPT reports submitted by global staff.

• Provide training to international staff on PPT methodologies.

• Lead the development of coding for PPT data analysis tools.

• Participate in IEC, Aresca, and other working groups to contribute to standards development.

• Report directly to the Director of Wind Engineering.

• Relevant experience and qualifications aligned with the role.

• Proficiency in wind turbine testing and PPT methodologies.

• Familiarity with A2LA accreditation renewal processes.

• Understanding of IECRE assessments.

• Knowledge of the Measnet application and qualification procedures.

• Capability to lead the development, validation, and execution of methods.

• Ability to write code for PPT data analysis tools.

• Willingness to engage in IEC, Aresca, and other working groups.

• Readiness to travel for fieldwork or conferences, primarily domestically and potentially internationally.
