Principal Engineer – Wind Turbine Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development, validation, and implementation of PPT methods for North America and globally.

• Manage the renewal process for A2LA Accreditation in collaboration with international teams.

• Facilitate IECRE assessments in partnership with global staff.

• Direct the application and qualification of Measnet in conjunction with global personnel.

• Supervise inter-office quality control initiatives across global locations.

• Engage in data analysis and reporting as required.

• Evaluate PPT reports submitted by global teams.

• Provide training to international staff on PPT methodologies.

• Spearhead the development of code for PPT data analysis tools.

• Take part in IEC, Aresca, and other working groups to aid in standards development.

• Report directly to the Director of Wind Engineering.

• Undertake occasional fieldwork and attend relevant conferences as necessary.

• Experience and qualifications suitable for the position (salary will be based on experience and qualifications).

• Proven capability to lead the development, validation, and execution of NA and global PPT methods.

• Expertise in managing A2LA Accreditation renewals.

• Proficient in leading IECRE assessments.

• Skilled in overseeing Measnet application and qualification processes.

• Competent in directing inter-office quality control efforts with global teams.

• Ability to engage in data analysis and reporting activities.

• Capable of reviewing PPT reports effectively.

• Experienced in training international staff on PPT practices.

• Proficient in leading the development of code for PPT data analysis tools.

• Ability to participate in IEC, Aresca, and additional working groups that support standards development.

• Willingness to perform occasional fieldwork and attend conferences, including potential international travel.
