Principal Engineer – Civil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the strategic and technical leader driving the effectiveness of the civil engineering team.

• Provide cutting-edge civil engineering solutions for renewable energy initiatives.

• Formulate long-term strategies and mentor top-tier talent.

• Ensure excellence in design, operations, and client interactions.

• Lead civil engineering design efforts encompassing grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater management, and SWPP calculations and reports.

• Act as the civil engineering lead on multidisciplinary projects while engaging directly with clients.

• Collaborate with hydrology, geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering teams.

• Create technical solutions to assist with permitting and compliance needs for a varied client base.

• Review and oversee calculations conducted by others to maintain quality standards and approve construction drawings and reports.

• Provide technical guidance for staff utilizing Civil 3D, including alignments, profiles, and grading features.

• Delegate tasks to junior engineering staff and designers.

• Offer construction support to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering is mandatory.

• Professional Engineer certification is required.

• Proficient in design software such as Civil 3D and HydroCAD.

• Experience with renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, or battery storage, is strongly preferred.

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
