Principal Engineer, Agentic AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Concentrate on key components of Steer CRM, enhancing data ingestion and processing to optimize automation tools.

• Spearhead the development of reusable full-stack components and services for a high-performance, scalable platform.

• Adjust priorities between new integrations and foundational infrastructure as the business requirements change.

• Collaborate with the Product team to identify user challenges and provide solutions that add value to auto repair shops.

• Promote best practices in security, test automation, and maintainability.

• Perform thorough code reviews across the engineering team.

• Impact CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Design and manage AI-integrated infrastructure ready for autonomous workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in developing complex, web-based SaaS products.

• Strong dedication to Steer’s mission and success, demonstrating exceptional pride, ownership, accountability, and determination.

• Practical experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.

• Proven track record of deploying AI-enhanced features and autonomous (agentic) workflows within production-grade infrastructure.

• Direct experience in integrating AI tools into CI/CD pipelines, including automated code review agents, AI-assisted testing, or agentic workflow orchestration.

• Proficient in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Redis.

• Experience with schema design and query optimization.

• Capability to translate complex technical ideas into product results and work collaboratively with leadership.

• Familiarity with .NET, Node.js (TypeScript), and React.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Previous experience as a founding engineer or in an early-stage startup setting.

• Experience in building or integrating with Claude marketplace plugins, encompassing prompt chaining, tool usage, or MCP integrations.
