Principal Engineer – Agentic AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with pod teams across various divisions following the completion of the bootcamp, actively working alongside engineers on genuine delivery tasks.

• Facilitate the adoption of agentic tools and workflows through practical engineering involvement.

• Identify and resolve issues related to tooling, context engineering, workflow integration, codebase-specific challenges, confidence, and mindset barriers.

• Develop, uphold, and disseminate a comprehensive set of best practices for agentic engineering.

• Partner with Enterprise Agility, Agile Coaches, and leadership within Agentic AI to synchronize technical and human change initiatives.

• Assist in the configuration and integration of agentic tools, including MCP integration, IDE setup, and workflow automation.

• Assess Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and other emerging alternatives using adoption data and hands-on experiences.

• Create and distribute reusable agentic skills, prompts, skill definitions, and automation patterns.

• Act as the primary expert for inquiries related to agentic engineering throughout the engineering domain.

• Transition between divisional assignments as adoption requirements evolve.

• Develop advanced agentic practices, including multi-agent workflows, automated testing, and agentic code reviews.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at engineering enablement, developer experience, and enhancing engineering productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on professional experience with agentic development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.

• Consistent daily engagement with agentic tools on real codebases, possessing a thorough understanding of their capabilities and limitations.

• Strong foundation in software engineering with proficiency in at least one primary programming language and stack.

• Ability to quickly become productive in new and unfamiliar codebases.

• Experience collaborating across multiple teams or contexts simultaneously, or transitioning between assignments in a consultative or enabling role.

• Proven track record of directly resolving real engineering challenges in collaboration with teams.

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, trunk-based development, automated testing, and observability tools.

• Experience with MCP server configuration, tool integration, or agentic workflow automation beyond IDE-level tooling.

• Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, agent orchestration, or designing multi-agent systems.

• Experience within a B2B SaaS or multi-product software organization is advantageous.

• Familiarity with team topologies and enabling functions in distributed engineering organizations is beneficial.

• Experience working in regulated or compliance-sensitive software environments is a plus.
